Years of Asbestos Exposure

According to newsok.com the plaintiff was both directly and indirectly exposed to asbestos fibers. When the man was a child, his father worked as a homebuilder and remodeler. The suit alleges that his father brought home asbestos fibers on his clothing or in his hair. The man later worked with asbestos products as a contractor on rental properties and as an auto mechanic.

The Oklahoma man sued over a dozen companies in May 2015, for what he described as decades of negligent workplace exposure to asbestos according to the news report. The jury did not award any punitive damages but it did award $6 million against two of the companies. The plaintiff sued for damages related to pain, mental anguish, medical and hospital care and physical disability.
