Nevada Semi Truck Accident: Young Passenger Took Full Impact Of Crash

According to ktnv.com, the 15-year-old was a rear passenger in the Chevrolet travelling on US-95 when it was rear-ended by a tractor trailer. The boy died at the scene of the crash and the 55-year-old driver and 69-year-old front passenger were transported to area hospitals in critical condition.

Highway officials stated that the truck driver, who was uninjured in the crash, was traveling northbound on US-95 in the right lane. The Chevrolet was traveling just ahead of the semi in the same lane, and according to witnesses, the semi truck was moving at a faster speed than the Chevrolet resulting in the semi rear-ending the car. The Chevrolet spun across the left lane and into the median. The 15-year-old passenger, who was riding in the left rear seat of the car, took the full impact of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene, the website reported.
