UVEX Sports Issues Bicycle Helmet Recall

Almost 47,000 bicycle helmets have been recalled by UVEX Sports because of a reported malfunction that could cause severe head injury. The bicycle helmet recall also was implemented because the helmets allegedly do not comply with Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) safety standards.

Injured By a Recalled Product? Attorney Group Can Help

The UVEX bicycle helmet recall is a reminder that often faulty products make it to market. Not all faulty products get recalled, and not all recalls are because a product is faulty. Some work fine but still can be dangerous by design. If you have been injured and you believe your injury was either by a faulty product or a product that has been recalled, Attorney Group can help you determine if you have a claim. If you do, one of our affiliated attorneys can file a lawsuit on your behalf. You may be eligible to receive monetary compensation for your losses. And there are no out-of-pocket costs to you.

The UVEX Sports helmets are being recalled because the chinstrap can fail, causing the helmet to slide off the head. There are seven models of helmet involved, including:

XB022

XB025

XB027

XB032

XB036

XB038

The helmets were sold in a variety of colors with colored chin-straps. The model number of the helmet can be found under the fitting pad on the top right side of the helmet. The helmets were sold at sporting goods and bicycle specialty stores between 2009 and 2014.

Consumers Advised to Stop Using Recalled Helmets
