A Google Pixel class action lawsuit may be an option for individuals who purchased a Google Pixel or Pixel XL between October 2016 and the present. A class action lawsuit alleges that Google failed to disclose problems associated with the microphones in their Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones and failed to provide an adequate remedy to consumers when the defects were made known. Affected individuals may be able to pursue a claim with the help of a consumer fraud attorney.

Plaintiffs Claim Google Failed to Offer Refund or Replacement
Class action lawsuits are being filed on behalf of owners of Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. According to a proposed class-action lawsuit filed on February 6, 2018, Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones allegedly contain a manufacturing defect that potentially “compromises the phone’s core functionality, preventing consumers from communicating by voice call and from using features like Google Assistant.”
Plaintiffs in the complaint claim that they complained directly to Google about issues with their phone’s microphones, and that other consumers have issued complaints about microphone and audio failures. In March 2017, Google confirmed that some Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones were experiencing microphone problems. The company stated that the problems are caused by “a hairline crack in the solder connection on the audio codec” and a “faulty microphone.”
According to the class action, Google allegedly replaced defective phones with other defective phones instead of providing customers with a refund or replacing the Pixels with non-defective phones. Likewise, despite the growing volume of complaints, and Google’s knowledge that the problems resulted from a systemic hardware defect related to the manufacturing process, Google refused to provide its customers with satisfactory warranty service.
