Centurion Medical Products is recalling Centurion Convenience Kits containing Multi-Med Single Lumen Catheters because excess material could remain at the tip of the catheter from the manufacturing process. Should this occur, the excess material can separate from the catheter and enter the patient’s bloodstream, potentially leading to the development of blood clots, embolism of the excess material to vital organs, or death. A complete list of affected lot numbers can be found here.
